Rose City melodic punk band Old Cross pulls influences from the late 90's punk and emo scenes and delivers heartfelt anthemic choruses across basement shows, dive bars and national stages alike.
The band released their LP Dead End Lullabies October 2024 and just dropped their new EP Acoustic Volume 1 Friday, January 9th.
Finally, the band turns in a true folk-punk moment with “Cross,” also from Daggers. This song pulls me straight back to the living rooms and basements of the mid-aughties, where artists like Mischief Brew and Saw Wheel stole my soul. I can almost smell those crusty climes as I listen, and the smile doesn’t just creep onto my face—it slaps me. Hahn sings, “Now I don’t have a home here anymore / Our moments we’ll never get back / When memories attack.” Indeed. Well played, Old Cross. - Russell James Inspite Magazine
THE ATTIC
Their latest single, "The Attic," featured below, captures the band’s evolution. The track dives into existential angst with lyrics that are both poetic and brutally honest. Its soaring melodic choruses are paired with a cinematic intensity, creating a powerful contrast between beauty and tension. Subtle ominous tones woven throughout add a haunting atmosphere, making "The Attic" a standout in their growing catalogue. -Stargazer Music Magazine
